Which Spinlock lifejacket is right for offshore racing?
The DECKVEST 6D 275N is Spinlock's offshore racing standard. It meets World Sailing Offshore Special Regulations and is widely used in Cat 1 and Cat 2 events. It includes an integrated harness, crotch strap, and spray hood, and is compatible with Spinlock's MOB1 AIS beacon for integrated MOB detection.
How often does a Spinlock lifejacket need servicing?
Spinlock recommends annual servicing or after any activation. Servicing checks the bladder, gas cylinder, automatic firing head, and rearming kit. Spinlock publishes clear service guides and sells rearming kits for all models, so you can service in a chandlery or at home if you're confident doing so.
Can I buy Spinlock rearming kits separately?
Yes. Spinlock rearming kits are available separately and are model-specific, so make sure you match the kit to your jacket version.
