What's the difference between the ILCA 7, ILCA 6 and ILCA 4 main sail?
The difference between the ILCA sails with different numbers is the size of the sail. The ILCA 4 sail is for smaller sailors from 35kg to 55kg, the ILCA 6 is for sailors from 55kg to 70kg and the ILCA 7 is for sailors over 70kg.
What do I need to be able to swap between the ILCA sails on my boat?
To switch between the ILCA rigs and sails you require the different sized sail (ILCA 4, ILCA 6 or ILCA 7) and also a different sized lower mast. The top mast remains the same for all rigs.
Are the ILCA sail battens all the same?
No, the ILCA sail battens are not the same for all rigs. The ILCA 4 and ILCA 6 sail use different battens to the ILCA 7.
Can you stick the sail numbers onto my new ILCA sail?
Yes, we do offer a service to stick your sail numbers onto your ILCA sail. This is an additional cost and we turn it around within a couple of working days. Please add the Sail Numbering Service your chosen sail numbers and sail to your basket and let us know your boats sail number.
What's the difference between your ILCA sail package and your ILCA rig package?
Our ILCA sail package includes the sail, numbers and sail battens. Our ILCA rig packages include ILCA sail, numbers, battens and the lower mast you require.

Yes, our ILCA sails are class legal and are good for club racing through to competing at the Olympic Games.
What's the difference between a Laser and ILCA sail?
Laser and ILCA sails fit the same boat with the renaming of the Laser to be the ILCA. You need to be careful to ensure your sail is class legal, ILCA sails are class legal, Laser sails tend to be replicas and won't be allowed for some racing events.
