After a brilliant First Year in the ILCA Nina is looking forward to build on some great results all over the UK and Europe. She has a busy schedule of ILCA events this year and we look forward to working with her to find out what unique parts and systems she is using on his boat.
Let's find out some more info on how and where she started sailing.
I started sailing in 2017 when I was 9 years old. My older brother sailed so I followed after him and I quickly became captivated by the exhilarating and refreshing feeling I got from being on the water.
My first boat was an optimist, sail number 5390.
My home club is Tenby Sailing Club. It is located on the south coast of Pembrokeshire.
My biggest achievement would be winning the U16 Female National Championship in the ILCA 4 at Hayling Island in 2023.
My favourite venue is Hayling Island because it is situated in a stunning location and with two superb sailing areas it offers both sheltered and open water conditions, making it an ideal racing venue.
I would love to finish the National Championship in the top 10, building on my result last year of 19th place overall.
I sailed in Antigua when I was younger and really enjoyed the tropical climate and the consistent trade winds. I hope that I will be able to go back some time in the future.

You do need to squeeze to get liquid out. Which is so much better. Don’t lose liquid etc.

Great for when it’s not too cold. But is windy and wet. Needing to stay dry on top.
Very easy to install. May need some additional sealing for complete water-tightness.
It was time for me to upgrade to a newer Ilca and it was recommended that I get a Devoti. The price was competitive and the service from Andrew and his team was fantastic. Currently 2 weeks into an Eastern Mediterranean trip with these shoes. Grip is great and they drain really well. Comfort is brilliant… as long as you take the right size. I followed the measurement guidelines and they work well. Highly recommend shoe!

I bought the burgee and clip for a Hartley 12 and found downwind sailing much easier single handed. The clip came with the screws so it was a 10 minute job including dropping the mast. Website worked well again and the items were delivered quickly so a good job all round.
