There is nothing worse than going sailing for a second day and putting yourself into a cold wetsuit from the previous day. It ruins your day and makes you cold before you even start!
Introducing Zhik Microfleece X - a wetsuit that's designed for use in the UK between April and September this is a 1mm thick wetsuit with a fast drying hydrobase inner that wicks moisture while also being super soft.
I love my Microfleece wetsuit, it's unbelievably warm for a very thin wetsuit with excellent flexibility. Being a skiff suit you can take advantage of layering and adjust your other layers to suit the conditions on the day. Sometimes I will wear this with a rash vest, other times I will wear a hydrophobic fleece top to hold a little more warmth closer to my body.
The skiff suit dries quickly because the key panels which sit close to your body are lined with an improved Hydrobase material which provides extreme thermal insulation and is very quick drying.
Zhik have another variation of the Microfleece wetsuit which they call the V. This is designed to be a similar wetsuit to the X but comes with less features and a lower price point.
