Some frequently asked questions that other customers have asked us about Sailing Gift Vouchers.
Do Sailing Chandlery gift vouchers expire?
Yes, Sailing Chandlery gift vouchers expire one year after purchase. That gives the sailor a full season to use it, whether they want new kit for the start of the year, a replacement part mid season, or winter layers when the weather turns. We recommend letting the recipient know the expiry date when you give the voucher.
How do I use a sailing gift voucher?
To use a sailing gift voucher, browse the Sailing Chandlery website, add the items you want to your cart, and enter the unique code from your voucher at checkout. Each voucher comes with its own code, so there is nothing to register or activate before you start shopping.
What values do sailing gift vouchers come in?
Sailing Chandlery gift vouchers are available in eight values: £10, £15, £20, £25, £30, £50, £75 and £100. Smaller values work well as stocking fillers or thank you gifts for crew and helpers, while the larger values are a good choice for birthdays, Christmas, or helping someone towards a bigger piece of sailing kit.
What can a sailing gift voucher be spent on?
A sailing gift voucher can be spent on anything on the Sailing Chandlery website. That includes sailing clothing from Gill, Rooster and Zhik, rope, blocks, cleats, boat covers, sails and parts for popular dinghy classes. It is a great gift for the sailor who has everything, because they get to choose exactly what their boat or kit bag needs.
Are gift vouchers a good prize for sailing events?
Yes, gift vouchers make great prizes for sailing events, open meetings and club prize givings. Every winner can choose something they will use, whatever class they sail and whatever size they wear. Our physical vouchers are printed onto card, so they look the part when handed out, and winners have a full year to spend them.
Are sailing gift vouchers digital or physical?
Sailing Chandlery gift vouchers are available in both digital and physical formats. Digital vouchers are sent as a code and are processed quickly, so they are ideal for a last minute gift. Physical vouchers are printed onto card and posted out, which makes them a great choice for a present to wrap up or to hand over at a prize giving.
