The advanced 3-layer performance construction provides a reliable 15k waterproof and 10k breathable rating, offering effective protection against spray, rain and prolonged exposure on deck. A C0 DWR treatment ensures carbon-free water repellency, allowing water to shed efficiently while supporting a more environmentally responsible approach to technical sailing apparel.

Designed for long days on the water, the INS400 Salopette features a streamlined sports cut that supports unrestricted movement and easy layering. An adjustable waist allows for a secure, personalised fit, while reinforced seat, knee and hem panels deliver added durability in high-wear areas — ideal for repeated manoeuvres, grinding and deck work.

Practical detailing enhances on-water functionality. Adjustable leg closures with internal PU facing create a watertight seal around boots, helping to prevent water ingress in rough conditions. A reinforced cargo pocket on the thigh is built to withstand abrasion from tough tools, while all-round water-resistant zippers protect essential storage throughout the garment.

For convenience afloat, the double slider main entry zipper allows easy toilet access without removing layers. We pride ourselves on our speed of shipping and our fast delivery services at Sailing Chandlery.

Any order placed by 2pm UK time will leave us the same working day unless there is a lead time which we detail on the product page. We do not ship over the weekend or on bank holidays for one simple reason - we love to go sailing as much as you do.

We try to treat delivery as a pass through cost and keep the cost to you as low as possible, on top of our already competitive product prices.

We offer free UK standard delivery for orders over £95 which includes most items. This does not include boats, trailers, trolleys, masts, booms, rig packages and large items which can't be sent via standard mail as they are too large.

Boats, trollies and trailers - These items cannot be sent using a post service, they have to be collected or delivered by our van. We can provide a custom delivery quotation if you can provide us with your post code. Please note, these items cannot be delivered outside of the UK. Please phone 01268 222912 for a delivery quote.

Are you outside the United Kingdom?

We are based in the UK, deliveries sent outside of the UK may be subject to duties and tax on import.

These are calculated and shown at the point of payment once you enter your delivery address. You will be asked to pay any duties and taxes at the point of purchase and not at delivery.

Please note: If you use a fast checkout option such as Apple Pay you may not be shown the additional charges.

If you are ordering items to be sent to Northern Ireland, due to the Windsor Framework, we recommend you have them sent to your home address and not your work address.

What is the quantity for ropes?

We sell rope by the metre, the quantity is in metres. If you order 5 items you will receive one 5 metre continuous length of that specific rope.

How quickly will you send my order?

We work Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays and pride ourselves on our speed of dispatch. If the item is in stock and available we dispatch any orders received by 2pm the same working day.

We do show a lead time on some products, that information is clearly stated on the product page and in the description. Need it faster? Give us a call on 01268 222912, we are always happy to help where we can.

What happens if I need to return or exchange?

You have 90 days to return a product for a refund or exchange.

Please do read the product descriptions in full, some items we cannot accept for returns or come with a restocking charge due to them being custom or clearance items.
