Zhik Superthermal Hydrobase Pant - Unisex

Warmth starts at the layer against your skin. The Zhik Superthermal Hydrobase Pant is the baselayer that goes on first, under a drysuit, wetsuit or salopettes, and it is doing more work than most people realise on a cold day.

The fabric is Zhik's own Superthermal Hydrobase, a knitted composite of two fibres that do opposite jobs. The polypropylene next to your skin is hydrophobic, so it pushes moisture away rather than holding it. The polyester on the outer face is hydrophilic, so it draws that moisture across the surface where it can evaporate. The result is that you stay dry during the hard work of hiking and tacking, and you do not get the cold, clammy feeling afterwards when you stop.

That matters most under a drysuit, where sweat has nowhere to go. A cotton or basic synthetic layer leaves you sitting in it for the rest of the session.

The knit is lightweight with a thermal grid structure, so it insulates without bulk under a suit. Four-way stretch means nothing binds behind the knee when you are hiking, and flatlock seams sit flat with no chafing on a long beat. The cuffs are a water shedding stretch weave, which cuts down flushing at the ankle when water gets past your boots, and the back of the waist sits higher for coverage when you bend forward. There is an antibacterial treatment in the fabric too, which keeps the smell under control after a full weekend of racing.

Any order placed by 2pm UK time will leave us the same working day unless there is a lead time which we detail on the product page. We do not ship over the weekend or on bank holidays for one simple reason - we love to go sailing as much as you do.

We try to treat delivery as a pass through cost and keep the cost to you as low as possible, on top of our already competitive product prices.

We offer free UK standard delivery for orders over £95 which includes most items. This does not include boats, trailers, trolleys, masts, booms, rig packages and large items which can't be sent via standard mail as they are too large.

Boats, trollies and trailers - These items cannot be sent using a post service, they have to be collected or delivered by our van. Are you outside the United Kingdom?

We are based in the UK, deliveries sent outside of the UK may be subject to duties and tax on import.

What is the quantity for ropes?

We sell rope by the metre, the quantity is in metres. If you order 5 items you will receive one 5 metre continuous length of that specific rope.

How quickly will you send my order?

We work Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays and pride ourselves on our speed of dispatch. If the item is in stock and available we dispatch any orders received by 2pm the same working day.

We do show a lead time on some products, that information is clearly stated on the product page and in the description. Need it faster? Give us a call on 01268 222912, we are always happy to help where we can.

What happens if I need to return or exchange?

You have 90 days to return a product for a refund or exchange.

Please do read the product descriptions in full, some items we cannot accept for returns or come with a restocking charge due to them being custom or clearance items.
