Product Information

  • Laser/ILCA Mast Wear Tape

Laser/ILCA lower mast wear protection kit. Included in this you will get two lengths/strips of UHMUPW tape. They will be cut to length and ready to attach to your lower mast. One strip will wrap around the bottom of the mast and the other is to sit level with the deck wrapped around the mast.

    Laser/ILCA Mast Kit PROtects Tape

The Laser/ILCA Mast Kit is a pressure sensitive tape using UHMWPE (ultra high molecular weight polythene) film with strong acrylic adhesive. This polymer has an extremely low coefficient of friction, self-lubricating and is highly resistant to abrasion. To avoid wear and tear, the kit contains two stripes for the lower mast

    How To Apply,

    • 1. Clean the lower mast and make sure that the surface is dry.
    • 2. Remove the liner from the tape and carefully apply on to the mast
    • 3. Additional pressure on to the tape will make sure improved adhesion
    • 4. Do not use for at least 24 hours

Put tape on the mast as instructed but then the mast was such a tight fit that it wouldn't turn.
Removed tape and threw away.
