What's the difference between an ILCA and a Laser?
There is no difference between the ILCA and Laser, the boat was previously called the Laser but had to be renamed due to a rights issue over the Laser wording. The International Laser Class Association chose the new name of ILCA.

The change from Laser to ILCA has simply bought new names and logos. The ILCA 7 used to be the Laser Standard. The ILCA 6 used to be the Laser Radial. The ILCA 4 used to be the Laser 4.7.
