The CST500 sailing jacket brings features and learnings from the previous Aroshell sailing jacket and testing of materials, and durability from extensive use during the Volvo Ocean Race.
The CST500 Jacket is a high performance coastal jacket that is designed to be lightweight whilst providing great water and wind protection for a wide range of conditions. This jacket can be used for staying dry in the boat park to overnight passages and racing.
The highly breathable and durable 3 layer Aroshell fabric technology works along with the fully taped seams to help provide a lightweight and non restrictive jacket.
This Zhik CST500 jacket also brings new features not yet seen on other sailing jackets. The Zithane reinforcement panels have replaced the traditional reinforcement so no more hard and uncomfortable seams between joints. This maintains the low profile and weight of this innovative jacket.
High Collar, for enhanced neck protection.
The High Collor provides you with more protection around your neck and less chance of getting after in side of your sailing jacket.
Hydrobase Lined Collar, which wicks moisture away from your body and is fast drying. The Fast Drying lining is tried and tested on a lot of other zhik products. This is great if you are out at sea and conditions become rough or it begins to rain. The Collar's Hydrophobic lining is soft and whilst maintaing the ability to repel water.
Water Tight Ergonomic (shaped) Elastic Wrist Closures. Having cuffs that are not restrictive and don't get in the way when going about doing jobs on board is essential. Having a tapered cuff enables the jacket to have a shorter velcro adjustment that lowers the chance fo you catching it on other things on board.
Water Tight Internal Chest Pocket. A water-tight internal pocket is not normally coastal jacket but we and Zhik both think this is a very important feature. Keeping your valuables safe like a phone and money is so important when travelling to somewhere that isn't familiar.

Cover arrived after three days and is well made and completely covers the boat boom up . The straps and clips all work fine. Good product.
My local chandlery were unable to supply a white inspection hatch and so it was amatter of looking online. Sailing Chandlery had the cover I needed in stock at a good price and delivery. I had never used them before but the service I received was excellent with the delivery on time and the hatch is now fitted.
