Inspect Your Ropes - Look for fraying, stiffness or UV damage. Replace worn lines early to avoid mid-race failures.
Rinse And Dry Your Gear - Salt buildup can degrade performance. Rinse off jackets, gloves, and PFD with fresh water and air-dry thoroughly.
Check Your Sail Stitching - Scan for loose threads, chafing or weak seams - especially near the battens and clew corners.
Lubricate Blocks And Moving Parts - Use a marine-grade lubricant to keep pulleys, tracks and shackles moving freely.
Test Zippers And Fasteners - Stuck or corroded zips can ruin a good day on the water. Clean and apply zipper lube if needed.
Organise Your Onboard Kit - Restock essentials like tape, spare shackles, and gloves. A tidy boat is a fast boat!
