In this video, the team at Sailing Chandlery review the Allen High Load Thimbles.
Allen has expanded their range of high load alloy thimbles. The range is available in a series of eye catching colours, various sizes, which you can splice onto your ropes.
This friction ring has an outside diameter of 15mm and an internal diameter of 6mm.
This friction ring has an outside diameter of 20mm and an internal diameter of 8mm.
This friction ring has an outside diameter of 25mm and an internal diameter of 10mm.
This friction ring has an outside diameter of 30mm and an internal diameter of 12mm.
This friction ring has an outside diameter of 35mm and an internal diameter of 14mm.
The use of high load, low friction thimbles where blocks may have been used in the past, has simplified areas of rig tensioning such as kicker or down-haul systems.
By splicing the thimble into a dyneema loop it allows far higher loads and enhanced performance.
These high load friction rings feature CNC turned 6082 aluminium, anodised, PTFE coated rings with safe working loads of between 300-1000kg.

Cover arrived after three days and is well made and completely covers the boat boom up . The straps and clips all work fine. Good product.
My local chandlery were unable to supply a white inspection hatch and so it was amatter of looking online. Sailing Chandlery had the cover I needed in stock at a good price and delivery. I had never used them before but the service I received was excellent with the delivery on time and the hatch is now fitted.
