Over the past few weeks it's been pretty cold in the UK, during that time we've been moving between two types of Zhik sailing jackets. Currently we have three different types in stock, the Kiama, Aroshell Fleece and the normal Aroshell. The Kiama and Aroshell are also available in ladies cuts but the aroshell fleece is a unisex jacket.
Choosing the right jacket will depend on your use, whether you want a shore jacket for before and after going on the water or whether you want a jacket to take on the water with you. We're going to look at the three types we have in stock and available to compare them for you.
Starting with the cheapest option the Kiama sailing jacket is currently available for £149 and the RRP is £155. The Kiama jacket is available in ladies and mens cuts and also in a cyan, black, red and ash grey.
The Zhik Kiama sailing jacket is designed for inshore and general purpose sailing in mild to moderate cool conditions.
It is light weight two layer sailing jacket which is waterproof and has breathable fabrications with sealed seams which offer excellent protection against wind and water. A mesh inner is included for additional insulation and warmth in cooler conditions.
The Kiama jacket also has a matching pair of kiama salopettes which are available for £149.
Next up is the Zhik Aroshell fleece jacket, this jacket is £179 and is available in black, grey or ash colours.
The Zhik Aroshell fleecy sailing jacket provides full wet weather protection combined with a thick fleecy lining to keep you warm. Designed to be warm, dry and comfortable both on and off the water. It won't provide as much protection against spray as the Kiama but it certinaly will keep the top of your body warm.
The jacket also has low key branding so can also be worn out and about.
The final sailing jacket Sailing Chandlery have in stock is the normal Aroshell jacket. This is available for £235 and comes in cyan, red, black and ash grey.
The Zhik Aroshell sailing jacket range provides full wet weather protection combined with minimalist style in a range of colours. The Aroshell jackets are designed to be fast, light and comfortable on and off the water, Aroshell is a lightweight performance shell with stretch.
With thinner material this is more of a summer sailing jacket but is also great for use off the water.

Cover arrived after three days and is well made and completely covers the boat boom up . The straps and clips all work fine. Good product.
My local chandlery were unable to supply a white inspection hatch and so it was amatter of looking online. Sailing Chandlery had the cover I needed in stock at a good price and delivery. I had never used them before but the service I received was excellent with the delivery on time and the hatch is now fitted.
