Want to add a new rig to your ILCA or Laser sailing dinghy? Looking to upgrade from a smaller rig? Looking to add some turbo to your boat this sailing season?
The ILCA is perfect due to the ability and versatility to change the size of the ILCA sail based on the conditions or the size of the sailor.
The different rigs are based on the sail size and the only items you need to change when changing the rig are the lower mast and the sail. However, our sail and rig packages also include battens so you can save time moving between sail without having to move battens between sails.
An ILCA Rig Package is the perfect way to allow for a quick ILCA Rig swap. This is a whole rig package so you only have to purchase one item to get everything you need. Whether you are upgrading your boat or moving up to the next size rig this is a perfect purchase for you as an ILCA sailor.
What's Included:
The only difference in a sail package and rig package in the inclusion of a lower mast on the rig package. If you already have a lower mast for the sail the sail package is what you need.
ILCA rig packages are available for the ILCA 4, 6 and 7 rigs.
We also sell replica rig packages and ILCA sail packages which could be perfect if you're sailing for fun or at a local club level. These are slightly more budget friendly but there are some differences to enable a lower price.
The main difference is that these are not class legal for ILCA racing at a competitive level, however they are great for training and local club racing.
The other key difference is the quality and weight of the cloth used to construct the sail.

The ILCA replica sail is a great choice for new sailors looking to bring an older boat back to life. However, due to lighter cloth, these will not last as long as the class legal official sails. The thinner cloth is subject to stretching and losing its shape quicker than the ILCA sail. This can lead to slowing the boat down whilst you are sailing due to the loss of the correct sail shape and structure.

Cover arrived after three days and is well made and completely covers the boat boom up . The straps and clips all work fine. Good product.
My local chandlery were unable to supply a white inspection hatch and so it was amatter of looking online. Sailing Chandlery had the cover I needed in stock at a good price and delivery. I had never used them before but the service I received was excellent with the delivery on time and the hatch is now fitted.
