We sell a range of sailing equipment and supply customers across the World, everything from a metre of rope through to a brand new sailing dinghy.

The Role

The warehouse assistant role is a key part of the Sailing Chandlery team. You will be responsible for ensuring customer orders are processed correctly and in a timely manner. 

You’ll be working at the forefront of the business with direct contact to our customers who visit our showroom. You will work closely with the Managing Director and other team members in daily tasks to build upon and grow the Sailing Chandlery business. 

Main Duties

  • The picking, packing and processing of customer orders; ensuring rapid dispatch via our courier and postal partners
  • Assist in the control of warehouse inventory, including receiving goods into the warehouse
  • The management of stock within the warehouse 
  • Ensuring the warehouse and surrounding areas are clean, tidy and free from any hazards
  • Supporting with custom work such as rope splicing and tapering (training to be given)
  • Being a small but fast growing business we will also require you to assist in other areas of the business as and when needed. This can include, but is not limited to; managing incoming calls, emails, social media accounts and helping with the preparation of boats leaving the warehouse

Working Hours

Monday - Friday 9.30am - 3pm.

Weekend working may be required to support events and shows with advanced warning being provided, usually only once or twice a year.

Pay

Starting at minimum wage, improving as you gain more experience.
