Bug Sailing Boat

The Bug, previously the Laser Bug and made by Laser Performance, is now made by the team at Ocean Play. The Bug is a confidence inspiring junior training boat that is highly versatile.

The Bug can be sailed, rowed or motored with an optional outboard motor, thus providing the ability to be a trainer, a tender, and adventure boat or a racer.

The Bug is renowned for its outstanding upwind performance and superior downwind control, it combines performance and style all while maintaining an incredibly stable platform for learning to sail.

An exceptional design for those looking to enhance their sailing skills and, if they wish, eventually compete in racing events. The windsurfer-like agility and quickness will keep your young sailor hooked.

Upgrades

For easier boat park manoeuvrability you can also purchase extendable aluminium carry handles which extend from the transom drain ports. These work perfectly with the integrated wheel fitted at the front so the boat can be moved like a wheel barrow.

Lead Time and Delivery

We can usually deliver new boats within a 1-3 week delivery window.

If you would like the boat delivered we will need to provide you with a quotation, please get in touch with the delivery postcode for a quote as boats are delivered by van and cannot be sent via courier.

It is also unlikely we will be able to deliver this boat outside of the UK as the cost will be high. You will need to arrange a freight forwarder to ship the boat.

Delivery and Costs

We try to treat delivery as a pass through cost and keep the cost to you as low as possible, on top of our already competitive product prices.

We offer free UK standard delivery for orders over £95 and includes most items. This does not include boats, trolleys, masts, booms, rig packages and large items which can't be sent via standard mail.

Any order placed by midday will leave us the same working day unless there is a lead time which we detail on the product page. We do not ship over the weekend or on bank holidays.

Boats, trollies and trailers - These items cannot be sent using a post service, they have to be delivered by van. We can provide a custom delivery quotation if you can provide us with your post code. What is the quantity for ropes?

We sell rope by the metre, the quantity is in metres. If you order 5 items you will receive one 5 metre continuous length of that specific rope.
