INS200 Review

Over the last 12 months, I have been using the Zhik INS200 sailing jacket. Previously I owned a Zhik Kiama jacket for the last 5 years and was very impressed and it became my go-to jacket until now.

The INS200 range is designed for "inshore" sailing and around the boat park. It is also stylish enough to wear around town or to the bar.

Below are 5 of my favourite parts/features of the Zhik INS200 Jacket.

Lightweight and Durable

The 3 layer fabric technology is made up of multiple different materials to make a 10k waterproof material that is highly breathable and wind resistant.

Because this sailing jacket is lightweight it means it can easily be rolled up and put into a rucksack and transported easily when not being worn.

Exposed Exterior Pockets

The exterior pocket may seem odd in different Zhik jackets but there is a good reason for introducing exterior pockets where the zip is exposed. Whilst out racing with gloves on or in the colder months the exterior pockets make it easier to get into with no flap overing the zip and getting in the way.

Tapered Cuffs

Tapered cuffs are again to reduce bulk, less added material left over making them more comfortable and less likely to be caught on parts of the boat.

Smooth Hood

The smooth and sculpted hood provides unmatched water protection. An integrated visor keeps the shape and lets water run off, not into your face.

Taped Seams

Smooth taped seams help eliminate water ingress and make the jacket less bulking and more comfortable to wear without bulky seams.
