Dinghy Rope have recently supplied 6 iCom handheld VHF radios and a charging base to a local sailing club.
The radios are going to be used to for a variety of events the sailing club host and will also help in the expansion of their RYA Training Center.
Upto now the club had been using individual radios on their own stand, quite often the chargers would get moved or a radio misplaced where it hadn't been put away in the correct location. The charging base gives a major advantage in keeping the radios in the same place while also ensuring they are fully charged when they're needed.
The radios have the following features:
Each individual VHF radio charging base is made to order by iCom where they fit the specific adpator to charge your radio of choice.
The base also has a new smart charging function. This microprocessor-controlled function automatically re-charges the battery as needed to prevent charge from being completely drained. Therefore, even if the radio happens to remain turned-on and keep receiving signals in the charger, it can constantly be re-charged with sufficient charge left for the next use.

Cover arrived after three days and is well made and completely covers the boat boom up . The straps and clips all work fine. Good product.
My local chandlery were unable to supply a white inspection hatch and so it was amatter of looking online. Sailing Chandlery had the cover I needed in stock at a good price and delivery. I had never used them before but the service I received was excellent with the delivery on time and the hatch is now fitted.
