If you're heading out onto the water over the colder UK months then you're going to need protection against the cold, and you might get lucky with a little bit of sunshine.
It's important to make sure you're prepared for the conditions, whatever they may throw at you.

A popular product so far this winter, keep your ears and head warm.
It is made from water repellant neoprene and has the added advantage of holes so you can hear while wearing it.
If you keep your feet warm then the rest of your body will follow. Unfortunately when sailing during the winter we can't help but get our feet wet when launching.
The Zhik Superwarm socks are made from 3mm neoprene and because they're glued and stitched they keep the water out!

The bag is well made and large enough for halyards as well as other items. I have used the 3M fixings but these are not really adequate and so the bags will need to be screwed in place.
I would buy again.

These work fantastically. Used with 6mm rope they grip instantly. Easy to adjust in small amounts and lock in with no effort at all. I was concerned that when the pressure comes off that the rope would release, but this isn’t the case at all. Really pleased with the purchase and rapid delivery.
