New Boat Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly can you deliver by new boat?

We say 1-3 weeks as standard. 3 weeks is the worse case scenario when we have lots of deliveries lined up and are in a busy period. In some cases we have delivered new boats the very next day after purchase.

I want to add some other bits to my boat package?

No problem, many customers take different configurations and we can tailor your boat package to you.

Any additional parts you buy at the same time as your new boat are provided with an additional discount.

What is the cost of delivery?

Our delivery costs are based on mileage. Please get in touch and we can provide you with a quotation. You can call us on 01268 222912 or email info@sailingchandlery.com.

Can I collect my new boat?

Yes, you are welcome to collect from us at our warehouse on Canvey Island, Essex. Our post code is SS8 0QY and we would need to arrange a suitable time so we have enough time to prep your new boat for you.

Do you ship to other locations outside the UK?

Shipping boats outside of the UK is tricky, and usually expensive as it would most likely involve a container having to be sourced, loaded and shipped.

We have provided this service to customers but we ask you to arrange the shipping, container and all customs paperwork. We are happy to load the boat into a container for you.

How will my new boat be supplied?

We spend lots of time prepping your boat for you ahead of delivery or collection, we don't want you wasting time working out how everything goes together.

For example, if you buy an ILCA or Laser we will run all the ropes, add all the deck fittings and make sure your boat is ready to hit the water quickly.

At the point of delivery we also run through the boat with you to ensure you are 100% happy and confident before we leave.
