The iCom IC-M400BB black box marine vhf radio can be installed out of sight, which is important, where space is at a premium or for example on ribs and power boats.
The radio is then controlled by the Icom HM-195 Command Mic which is easy to use with a new intuitive user interface. The HM-195 fist mic allows operation of all radio functions including DSC, radio, foghorn, hailer horn from the cockpit or fly bridge.
IC-M400BB Black Box VHF, HM-195 CommandMic and DC Power Cable.
The built-in bidirectional active noise canceller reduces background noise to up to 90% and improves both your transmitted voice and incoming calls.
A built-in 10W amplifier that increases the audio output from an additional external speaker (not included). The public address function allows you to make an announcement from the microphone like a loud speaker, and the foghorn can also be emitted from the external speaker.
When connected to an external GPS receiver, current position and time are shown on the CommandMic display. When receiving position information from another vessel, the radio can transfer it to a navigational device via NMEA 0183 connectivity.
The IC-M400BB can be integrated with the MA-500TR Class B AIS Transponder allowing you to transmit DSC individual calls to a selected vessel instantly without manual MMSI entry.
When connected to the MarineCommander, the received DSC message pops up on the multi-function display.
The IC-M400BB and HM-195B/SW withstand submersion in up to 1.0m depth of water for 30 minutes.
The favourite channel function allows you efficient scanning and quick channel selection. Set the favourite channel to the channels used most often. When pushing the up/down buttons on the hand microphone, only the tagged channels are selected, while unmarked channels are skipped. Normal and priority scan searches active channels from the favourite channels.
