Harken Blocks for Sale

It's coming to that time of year when we see a big increase in block/pulley sales as sailors look to tackle those winter jobs ahead of the new sailing season.

Dinghy Rope mainly focus on Harken products and have plenty of Harken Blocks for Sale.

Starting at around £10 we have Harken blocks from 16mm sheave size through to 75mm sheaves. The pulleys come in a range of variations from single blocks, double blocks, tie on blocks, cheek blocks and plenty more....

If you are a dinghy sailor you'll be looking at mostly 16mm, 22mm, 29mm and then 40mm and 57mm for your sheets. If you are sailing something bigger such as a yacht or keelboat then the 40mm, 57mm and 75mm sheave blocks are going to be your main choices.

Important things to note about blocks

• Always check the breaking load and safe working load
• Always read instructions with tie on blocks, if you rig it up incorrectly you could destroy the block quickly
• The more contact the rope has with the sheave the better the grip and the more the block will work for you
• Check them every so often to ensure they are working as they should
• Always rinse them out after sailing (even if you are not sailing in salt water)
• Bigger isn't always better!
