Zhik 170 Sailing Boots

Worn three times now (whilst sailing). Well made, good grip and comfy, if a little tight - especially taking off. I ordered a size larger, as advised - (I have high arches) - might have been better to have gone a further size up.

First time on Sun 11th. Didn’t realise I had them on! Your advice re ordering a size larger, correct. Rinsed them after use following manufacturers instructions. Appear to be well made. Rgds. Robert NB Bit of a struggle getting them off!

This was my first Zhik purchase having spent some time looking for a low cut boot for the summer and having used them a few times now, I'm really pleased with the boots. They offer great grip in the boat and on the slipway, are comfy to wear and provide good protection. As the guidance says, these come up small, so make sure you follow the guidance to measure and don't be surprised if the size you are ordering is one or two sizes bigger than your normal. I'm normally 8.5-9 and measured at a 10 so that's what I ordered and they are a snug fit. I'd need an 11 if wearing socks.

wanted these for Kayaking, needed a strap to hold the boot in place if I had to do a muddy get out. I ordered one size larger, but these still did come up very small, Sent them back to Sailing Chandley who was really helpful and kindly sorted out getting in a larger size in, even though they hadn't stock in the larger size. The boots are great.

Quite honestly the best pair I’ve ever had, strong but flexible soles with comfortable uppers which I feel I could if needed wear all day and all for a competitive price. As for the size recommendations they’re spot on, definitely go one size bigger than usual.
Overall I’m very happy with these and hope to use them for a long time.

I have the 270 boots 2020, But these 170 boots are great, much easier to get on and off and very grippy and comfortable

Sorry for the delay, I was waiting to use them.
These were purchased for sailing an International 14. My other Zhik boots are good but they kept getting grit in them whilst launching and therefore became uncomfortable.
Andrew suggested the Zhik 170 boots, he said that he hadn’t tried them himself but he thought they might work.
I used them on Saturday for the first time and they are great, I just got on and sailed the boat without thinking about them. As we were training I swapped with the crew, this was when I noticed how good they are for crewing as I moved around the cage without slipping in the medium to light airs in the Solent.
My son, who I sail with, has the split toe version which he likes.
