  • Contender Boat Cover - Breathable PVC Polycotton - Mast Up Flat

    This Polycotton Contender boat cover is made from a breathable PVC and cotton mixture.

    The boat cover is designed to be used when the boat is in the boat park and will sit with the mast up but boom down. This is also ideal for use when towing your boat.

    Please note: All boat covers come with a 10-15 working day lead time.

    Boat Cover Features

    • Transom tie down at base of the boat cover
    • Soft webbing straps to protect the bottom of your boat
    • Top quality breathable Polycotton material
    • No strings or eyelets to be seen
    • Easy to use clip fastenings to secure the cover onto your boat

    Why are Polycotton boat covers the best?

    The cotton fibres in the polycotton boat covers blend and swell when they become wet. This helps to make the fabric more waterproof the wetter it becomes.

    As the boat cover dries, the fibres shrink allowing moisture to evapourate away from the boat.

    The 50/50 polycotton fabric combines the strength of the polyester with the breathable nature of the cotton.

    Although more expensive, the cotton gives the material its unique breathable characteristics. Other benefits also include:

    • Less abrasive on varnished wood
    • More breathable to prevent osmosis on frp
    • Many manufacturers only guarantee hulls with Polycotton covers

We guarantee our PVC covers for 5 years, our breathable polycotton covers for 3 years and our breathable solution dyed polyester covers for 2 years.

Good for price

General cut, delivery, quality, etc., is fine however there is no cutout/slot for the forestay. I will probably cut a slot for the forestay and reinforce the area around it with some of the off cuts from the cover fabric.
Nice clip buckles for the straps though the first one could do with being slightly closer to the front and there isn't a buckle for the tie around the mast.
All in all though, I would buy again and just ask if they could do the couple of alterations to the cover.

We try to treat delivery as a pass through cost and keep the cost to you as low as possible, on top of our already competitive product prices.

We offer free UK standard delivery for orders over £95 and includes most items. This does not include boats, trolleys, masts, booms, rig packages and large items which can't be sent via standard mail.

Any order placed by midday will leave us the same working day unless there is a lead time which we detail on the product page. We do not ship over the weekend or on bank holidays.

UK 2nd Class Delivery (2-5 days) - £4.50

UK 1st Class Delivery (1-3 days) - £5.50

DHL UK Mainland Next Day Courier - £8.99

Courier - Long Items - Masts, Booms, Rig Packages Etc - £40

Boats, trollies and trailers - These items cannot be sent using a post service, they have to be delivered by van. We can provide a custom delivery quotation if you can provide us with your post code. What is the quantity for ropes?

We sell rope by the metre, the quantity is in metres. If you order 5 items you will receive one 5 metre continuous length of that specific rope.
