8mm Gottifredi Maffioli Swiftcord Rope - Dyneema SK78

8mm Gottifredi Maffioli swiftcord is perfect for ropes which are constantly adjusted as it's soft on the hands with hard wearing capabilities.

The rope is a mix of a single braid Dyneema SK78 rope with a special non slip fibre weaved together into a rope with no core, also known as a hollow braid.
Because the rope is a hollow braid you can feed a dyneema core up inside easily to add a taper or perform various rope tricks.

This rope has been popular with top sailors on high performance dinghies and catamarans for years.

Mainsheet

Great product but worth running across something across something first as is very slippy for the first few sails ( we pulled it back and forth on a smooth part of our trolley)

Used as viper f16 main sheet- handles comfortably and runs cleanly through harken 10:1 system

Wash before use

I bought this rope as a replacement mainsheet for my RS Aero. When it arrived, I thought it was very synthetic and slipped through my gloves. When wet it also left pink dye all over the boat. I took it home and washed it in the washing machine. It is now the best mainsheet I have ever had. Its's still red and black, no longer leaks colour. It puffed up and lost its synthetic feel. It is kind on my hands easy to grip, doesn't tangle itself in the bottom of the boat. Light enough to be used in light winds and strong enough for the heavy winds so there is no need to swap mainsheets to suit conditions - its perfect for them all. :)

We try to treat delivery as a pass through cost and keep the cost to you as low as possible, on top of our already competitive product prices.

We offer free UK standard delivery for orders over £95 and includes most items. This does not include boats, trolleys, masts, booms, rig packages and large items which can't be sent via standard mail.

Any order placed by midday will leave us the same working day unless there is a lead time which we detail on the product page. We do not ship over the weekend or on bank holidays.

We sell rope by the metre, the quantity is in metres. If you order 5 items you will receive one 5 metre continuous length of that specific rope.
